Yes I have used AI tools to help me write as I self-publish and have a limited budget all of my cover art is AI generated. It may not always be this way as i build up a folowing and exposure i would prefer to be able to hire human artists to draw and come up with my cover artwork but as it stands this is where I’m at. – As for my Stories they are all 100% ideas created worked and written by me, yes I use AI for proofreading, Editing, and Finalization but this again is because I do not have the budget to hire professional editors, proofreaders and a marketing team. Were i to be picked up by a publisher this would all very much change but again this is where we are at.
I have worked very hard on the stories I have created, some of them I have been working on for several years, and having AI to help me with the parts I have struggled with has been an amazing opportunity, and I hope that my readers still enjoy the stories as I try to tell engaging stories that inspire and entertain. *****
Tim Kelley is a Canadian writer whose work is shaped by a life defined as much by hardship as by resilience. Growing up, Kelley faced a difficult and unstable childhood, navigating challenges that would later become the emotional backbone of his storytelling. Everything changed when he was adopted by a Christian family, whose faith, structure, and unwavering support gave him not only a home, but a foundation. That experience—of being pulled from chaos into something steady and meaningful—continues to influence his writing, where themes of identity, redemption, loss, and second chances are ever-present.
Before turning fully toward storytelling, Tim built a 25-year career in the IT industry, evolving alongside the rapid transformation of technology itself. From early work in e-commerce and web development to network administration, security, and ultimately cybersecurity, his professional life has been rooted in understanding complex systems—how they’re built, how they fail, and how they can be rebuilt stronger. That technical perspective deeply informs his fiction, especially in the intricate worlds and high-stakes systems that define much of his work.
A lifelong fan of science fiction, comic books, and cyberpunk, Kelley draws inspiration from the stories that explore the edges of humanity—where technology, identity, and morality collide. His writing blends emotional realism with high-concept storytelling, often grounded in deeply personal stakes while unfolding across expansive, speculative worlds. Whether it’s the neon-lit sprawl of a cyberpunk future or the fragile threads of a collapsing multiverse, his stories are driven by characters searching for meaning in systems far larger than themselves.
Kelley is the author of Do Not Pass Go, his debut novel, a powerful exploration of trauma, survival, and healing. He continues to expand his storytelling across genres with Tap Water & Whiskey, a sharp, comedic satire; The Oleum Codex, a conspiracy-driven geopolitical thriller; The Nexus Saga, an ambitious multiverse series blending science fiction with emotional depth; and Fractured Identity, a psychological narrative exploring memory and self. Based in Nova Scotia, Kelley continues to write stories that challenge, entertain, and resonate—stories that reflect not only the worlds we imagine, but the lives we endure and the people we become.
